About six months ago I got into an altercation and I ended up seriously hurting someone.  The prosecutor charged me with several felonies.  All together I was looking at 19 years in prison. 

I hired Dan Koukol, a Roseville criminal attorney, to be my attorney.  Over the course of several months he and his father (his investigator) worked on my case.  They studied the crime scene and interviewed every single witness to the incident (there were lots of witnesses).  They even interviewed witnesses that I think are dangerous people. 

I know at one point they met with the person I hurt and his entire family and they all sat around and talked.  The person I hurt ended up being somewhat helpful for us.  

Mr. Koukol was up against a tough prosecutor who was really determined to send me to prison for a long time.  After a few months, and several court appearances I pretty much just gave up.  My girlfriend told me that I needed to stay positive but I was just worn out and ready to go to prison. 

When I met Mr. Koukol the next time he told me that “he had a good feeling” about my case and that he was not going to give up at all.  In fact he was going to really push hard at this point.  Mr. Koukol did some things in court to get me in front of a judge he told me he really respected.  At the very next court appearance Mr. Koukol got the prosecutor and the judge to agree to give me probation!  No prison time at all!  To me this was a miracle.  

We quickly settled the case and everyone followed through with what they had promised. 

This basically saved my life. If you ever need an attorney that will really go to bat for you Dan Koukol is the one that will.

I am 28 years old, I have five prior felony convictions, and I have been to prison twice. My mother found Dan and hired him to represent me. I’m glad she did. On my fourth court appearance Dan got the prosecutor to make an offer that was much, much better than I ever imagined would be possible. I avoided pleading to any strikes and I will end up serving less than three years. I will be home in time to see my son start kindergarten. 

I can tell you that if you need a really good attorney (and investigator), you should hire Dan.
